NEC Code Book
This course provides preparation for candidates that want to take the Texas State Journeyman Electrician Exam. The course includes learning how to reference the NEC code book to look up definitions, wiring methods, electrical methods, electrical equipment, special occupancy, and more. The course teaches calculations for electrical services, feeders, branch circuits, motors, and more. We teach Ohm’s law, voltage drop, and other electrical theory, along with safety and state law that is pertinent to the State Journeyman Exam.
The current work experience requirements to sit for the Texas State Journeyman Electrician Exam are 8,000 hours or 4 years of On-The-Job Training under the supervision of a licensed Master Electrician.
