This course provides preparation for candidates that want to take the Texas State Master Sign Electrician Exam. The course includes learning how to reference the NEC code book to look up definitions, wiring methods, electrical methods, electrical equipment, special occupancy, and more.
We teach Ohm’s law, voltage drop, and other electrical theory, along with safety and state law.

Founder of T.E.S.A., Dave is Houston Master Electrician (HMEL #8). Mr. Wilson has over 40 years in the sign industry and is a Texas Master Electrician #18719.
Mr. Wilson had the privilege of serving as a member of the NEC code writing panel #18 which oversees Article 600 – Electric Signs and Outline Lighting.
The current work experience requirements to sit for the Texas State Master Sign Electrician Exam are 12,000 hours or 6 years of On-The-Job Training under the supervision of a licensed Master Electrician.
